Audra grew up in a middle-class home in Jonesboro, Georgia. As an educator, her mother was involved with many teacher’s unions and lobbied hard for education in her spare time. Audra’s father, an attorney later elected State Court Judge in Clayton County where he remained for twenty years, also provided her with a strong sense of responsibility and public service.

About Audra Bleecker
Attorney at Law
Audra attended Valdosta State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts and Science in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Political Science in 2002. Audra rushed Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and shortly thereafter met her husband, Evan Bleecker.
After college, Audra moved back to Jonesboro where she became very involved in local politics and was asked to serve on the Executive Committee of the Clayton County Democratic Party. In a local election, she was unanimously elected as State Committee Member of the Democratic Party of Georgia and attended the Democratic National Convention in Boston, Massachusetts as a delegate in 2004.
By 2006, Audra began getting more involved in statewide campaigns and during her run as Finance Director of a Lieutenant Governor’s campaign, the campaign raised over a million dollars in under a year. Audra was subsequently hired by Congressman David Scott (GA-13) to plan and manage a fundraiser with Congressman Barney Frank (MA-4), raising over $70,000 in two (2) hours. Congressman Scott then asked Audra to work for him in his district office where she remained for the next eight years as Grants Manager and then Constituent Services Manager.
Then in 2014, Audra decided to attend Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School where she graduated in two (2) years, remaining in the top third percent of her class.
Post law school, Audra worked as a law clerk, appellate attorney, prosecutor, assistant to a SAAG for DFCS, as well as researching and drafting legislation with the Democratic Caucus of the Georgia House of Representatives.
In 2018, Audra finally decided to open her own law practice and thus, Bleecker Law was established. Today, Audra and her family reside in Newnan, Georgia, consumed with endless baseball practices and boy scout events.
